Charles Gottlieb is a civil trial attorney practicing since 1967. His practice has focused on employment law since 1980.
Mr. Gottlieb represents employees. His practice involves litigating all types of claims on behalf of employees. He has tried lawsuits and argued appeals in numerous employment cases in Michigan and Federal courts and administrative agencies, including the Michigan Supreme Court, the 6 th United States Circuit Court of Appeals, and the United States Supreme Court. He was the plaintiff's trial and appellate attorney in Toussaint v Blue Cross a Michigan Supreme Court decision nationally recognized as establishing an employee's right to termination for good cause. He is also co-lead class counsel for In re: Unisys Retiree Medical Benefits ERISA Litigation (partial settlement of $38.1 million for claim that Unisys had duty to provide retiree medical coverage for life), for a class-action suit brought for Fruehauf/Kelsey Hayes retirees, and for a retiree medical benefits class action.
Mr. Gottlieb received an undergraduate degree in business administration from the University of Michigan. He received law degree with honors for outstanding academic achievement from Wayne State University Law School. He served as an editor of his school's Law Review for two years.
He has been listed in the Labor and Employment Law section of Woodward/White's The Best Lawyers In America . He is a former director of the Michigan Employment Lawyers Association, a former Plaintiff Co-Chair of the American Bar Association Employee Rights Trial Practice Committee, and was appointed to the Employment Law Subcommittee of the Michigan Supreme Court Standard Jury Instruction Committee. Professional memberships include the American Bar Association, the Michigan Bar Association, the Oakland Bar Association, and the Michigan Trial Lawyers Association.

Julian R. Williams is a civil trial attorney, admitted to practice in Michigan and Federal courts. He earned his J.D. from Michigan State University College of Law and a bachelor's degree in English from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor.
Mr. Williams previously was a union-side legal counsel in disputes between Michigan public school employees and public school districts.
He currently tailors his practice representing employees in cases involving discrimination, harassment, denial of disability and health benefits, pension disputes, contract disputes, severance, overtime, the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) and ERISA.
Mr. Williams has successfully represented clients by negotiating settlements, winning in litigation, and at administrative appeals.
He is a member of the State Bar of Michigan, the Oakland County Bar Association, and the D. Augustus Straker Bar Association, a minority legal organization.
